There were numerous projects that my Dad and I did during my childhood years, but some stand out more than others. “The Barn” is our story about family and the passing of history from one generation to the next.
As a child growing up in Columbus, Mississippi, I am sure that I had a hand with helping my dad build our barn. However, during my freshman to sophomore year in school, our family made a decision to move across town to the Stinson’s home place.
My dad decided to take down the existing barn and to rebuild it at our new home. I remember working with my dad taking the barn down piece by piece and marking each piece so that it could be reassembled at its new location. With the assistance of my uncle, dad and I rebuilt the barn at our new home place.
The team at MLS turned this outdated home into a modern masterpiece. With the owner wanting to preserve the past, MLS designed and curated a complete exterior renovation, coupled with a stylish interior makeover.
